Dr. Guillem Paz

Spine surgery

Dr. Guillem PazGraduate in Medicine and Surgery from the Vall d’Hebron University Hospital, a center attached to the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

He began his MIR training in 2020 in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology at the Hospital de Mataró.

He is a full member (no. 370) of the Spanish Spine Society (GEER), where he also serves as coordinator of the Young GEER Group.

He is a member of the international AO Spine group and an active member of the AO Spine Youth Club. In 2024 he participated in the Shaping Your Future course in Davos for young spine surgeons.

He is a member of the Spanish Society of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology (SECOT) and the Catalan Society of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology (SCCOT).

He has carried out training stays in reference centers in complex spine surgery, such as the Vall d’Hebron University Hospital, The Royal London Hospital, Hospital Sant Joan de Déu, Hospital Universitario Fundación Jiménez Díaz and Hospital Clínico San Carlos in Madrid.

He is a reviewer for the Global Spine Journal, an international journal specializing in spine pathology.

He has presented several scientific communications at national and international congresses, such as the Global Spine Congress (AO Spine), the Spanish Spine Society (GEER), SECOT and SCCOT.
